Trauma Therapy
You don’t have to navigate healing alone.
I’m here to provide compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for women who are navigating the lasting effects of trauma. I hope to offer a safe, supportive space to understand how your experiences have shaped you and help you reconnect with yourself.
Healing begins with safety.
Trauma can impact more than our memories, it can affect the way we feel in our bodies, respond to stress, connect with others, and experience ourselves. You may feel constantly on edge, disconnected, overwhelmed, or find yourself reacting in ways that feel unlike yourself.
A goal in my work is to support nervous system regulation. Through this support, you will learn to recognize your body’s responses to stress and develop tools to help you feel more grounded, present, and safe. By building this foundation, you can begin to respond to life from a place of greater stability rather than constantly feeling stuck in survival mode.
My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed.
In addition to CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in practice. EMDR helps the brain process distressing experiences that may keep us feeling “stuck.” Through bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or alternating taps, EMDR can help reduce the emotional intensity and body sensations of traumatic memories.
Together, we may work to:
Regulate Your Nervous System: Build skills to feel calmer, more grounded, and connected to your body.
Process Trauma: Reduce the emotional impact of experiences that continue to affect you.
Understand Your Patterns: Explore how past experiences influence your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships.
Strengthen Self-Trust: Develop healthier boundaries, self-compassion, and a stronger connection to yourself.
Move Forward: Create a life that feels safer, more balanced, and more aligned with who you are.
Your past may have shaped you, but it does not have to define you.
Healing is not about forgetting what happened. It is about helping you feel less controlled by the past and more connected to yourself in the present. You’ll be in charge as we create space for healing, growth, and lasting change.
I’m here to support your healing journey, at your pace.
